The Taos Ski Valley Up & Over Trail Run is held in Taos Ski Valley on July 31 and August 1, 2027, built around the Up & Over 10K (6.2 miles), a demanding mountain course with views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, including Kachina Peak and Wheeler Peak. The route crosses a landscape shaped by snowmelt, with waterfalls and wildflowers, and a chance to spot birds and bighorn sheep.
Significant elevation gain makes it a tough but rewarding course. On July 31, the Double Trouble (6.8 miles / 11 km) also starts at 9 a.m. alongside the 10K, and August 1 brings two 0.6-mile (1 km) races: the Up & Dn at 9 a.m. and Vertic-AL's Vert-K at 9:30 a.m.
