Bull of the Woods Trail Run

The Bull of the Woods Trail Run takes place in Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico, with two demanding courses that wind through forest and alpine meadow beneath the Wheeler Peak Wilderness, where several summits top out above 12,000 feet. You can choose a roughly 13-mile route or push on for about 26 miles; both start near 9,800 feet of elevation and climb toward peaks such as Kachina Peak and Fraser Peak on narrow singletrack, with sweeping high-country views along the way. Proceeds from the race go toward trail maintenance in the area through the Enchanted Circle Trails Association.
