Surftown Half Marathon and 5k

The Surftown Half Marathon and 5k, presented by Westerly Hospital, is a classic coastal race drawing runners to the scenic shores of Westerly, Rhode Island, on September 12, 2027. The half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km) winds through the upscale neighborhoods of Watch Hill and the seaside lanes of Weekapaug, with sweeping Atlantic views and quiet, scenic stretches along the shoreline.

With a two-person relay and a fast, flat 5K (3.1 miles) also on offer, there is something for every level. The festive atmosphere carries through to the finish line with fish chowder from Flanders Fish Market and local craft beer, and participants receive a beach-themed medal and a tech T-shirt. As the finale of the Shoreline Challenge series, the event celebrates the end of summer in style and supports the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation.
