The Cut Carbon Run, organized by Students Cutting Carbon Emissions, features a 5K (3.1 miles) and a 1-mile fun run in Shaker Heights on July 31, 2027, both starting at 10:00 a.m. from Chesterton Athletic Field.

Participants receive a T-shirt and a chip-timed bib, and the top five finishers win awards. The race raises money for sustainability initiatives and promotes environmental awareness. SCCE is a nonprofit run by students from the Cleveland area, focused on high-impact investments and community engagement for a sustainable future.
