StRides Against Suicide & Overdose in Valparaiso combines a 5K (3.1 miles) run with walks and bike rides on July 31, 2027, raising money for mental health and addiction treatment in Northwest Indiana. The 5K run starts at 10:00 a.m., followed by the 5K walk and 1-mile walk at 10:10 a.m.

Cyclists can choose a 100-mile ride (6:30 a.m.), a 60-mile ride (7:00 a.m.), a 40-mile ride (7:30 a.m.) or a 10-mile family ride (11:15 a.m.). Funds raised go directly to scholarships for people who need treatment but lack insurance or financial means, highlighting the importance of access to care and community support in the fight against suicide and overdose.
