Statesman Capitol 10K is run on April 11, 2027 in Austin, in Travis County, Texas. The single distance is a 10K (6.2 miles), also open to team entries. The course alternates wide, fast avenues with gentle rises, passing the pink granite Texas State Capitol, crossing the historic Clarksville neighborhood and finishing on the shores of Lady Bird Lake, with strong crowd support along the way.

The rolling profile means this is not a course to attack from the gun. Run the first two miles a shade inside your goal pace, use the flat avenues to hold rhythm, and let the closing stretch by the lake take care of the rest. The team option makes it a natural target for a club or a workplace group. Six to eight weeks of steady mileage with one weekly tempo run of twenty to thirty minutes is enough preparation for a solid time.
