About

Spinx Run Fest is Greenville, South Carolina's flagship running event, held on October 24, 2026 on USATF-certified courses. The Spinx Marathon (26.2 miles) starts at 7 a.m., the half marathon (13.1 miles) at 7:30 a.m., the 10K at 7:45 a.m., the Kids Dash at 7:50 a.m. and the 5K at 8 a.m. Every race is timed with RFID technology for accurate tracking and near-instant results, and all entrants receive a shirt and a finisher medal regardless of distance. Age-group awards go three deep for men and women in each event, with overall, masters and grandmasters categories.

A certified marathon course with professional timing is what you want for a Boston qualifying attempt, since the distance is measured and the results stand. Plan on a 16 to 18 week build with a long run every week and a three-week taper. Runners not ready for 26.2 can use the half here as a tune-up race instead.
