Spence Mountain Run is held on May 29, 2027, in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The 50K (31.1 mi) starts at 7:00 a.m., the 30K (18.6 mi) at 8:00 a.m. and the half marathon (13.1 mi) at 8:30 a.m., on technical singletrack with rocky sections throughout.
Technical singletrack is the surface that punishes road fitness most: your pace is set by the ground rather than by your legs, and a strong runner with no trail experience will be passed by weaker ones who look further ahead. Practise on rocky terrain before entering, and choose the half marathon first — on this kind of course it is a serious race in its own right.
