About
The Sole Sizzler 5K is a 3.1-mile road race in Waterford, Oakland County, Michigan, and part of the Waterford Race Series. It starts and finishes at Kettering Captains Quarters, and the course winds through the surrounding subdivisions on roads that can be a little rough in spots. The 2026 edition was held on Saturday, July 25, with a 9:00 a.m. start.
Every finisher gets a medal and a moisture-wicking running hat. The top three in each 5-year age group win a gift card, and runners can stick around for a post-race celebration at the track.
