About

The Run with the Sun Trail Race in Erie invites runners to cover a 2.3-mile (3.6 km) loop around the former Gospel Hill Golf Club course, now owned by Penn State Behrend, on June 19, 2027. The first runners set off at 5:44 a.m.

The loop mixes grass, mud and gravel paths with hills, open fields, shade, wildflowers and wildlife, making for a true off-road challenge. The event runs from sunrise to sunset on one of the longest days of the year, and runners can complete as many laps as they like. It is a self-supported ultramarathon inspired by the ERC Personal Endurance Classic.

Half of the registration fees go to the Behrend Cross Country program, which supports local athletes and community running initiatives.
