About

SoCal's Tiki Beach 5K & 10K Run/Walk is a Polynesian-themed 5K and 10K held every year at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach, California. The next edition is on September 26, 2027, with both distances starting at 6:30 a.m.

Founded in 2014, the event features Polynesian drummers and dancers, and participants receive Hawaiian-style race shirts and custom medals. Racing is chip-timed, with age-group awards and trophies for the winners. Refreshments include coconut-banana pancakes, specialty coffee and tacos. The race doubles as an end-of-summer celebration with a festive beach-party vibe, and participants also support global causes, such as helping families in Nepal.
