Silver Heist 5K & Little Bandits Bolt combines running and local history in Orwell, Vermont, with a 5K (3.1 miles) starting at 10:00 a.m. on September 25, 2027. The Silver Heist Walk/Run follows a course highlighting the town's historic ties to bandit heists, and gets underway with the blow of a conch shell.

The event celebrates the area's past, notably an attempted bank robbery in 1902. Runners collect a symbolic wooden ring along the way and finish on the town's central square. The Little Bandits Bolt gives kids a similar historical theme, both in person and virtually, with keepsakes such as a finisher medal and a silver nugget.
