Sheldon Shuffle 5K

Sheldon Shuffle 5K takes place in Newark, Delaware, on November 1, 2026, with the Sheldon Shuffle 5K Run/Walk covering 3.1 miles from a 9 a.m. start. The event supports the children of Exceptional Care for Children, the only pediatric skilled care facility in Delaware, raising money for therapies and for the educational and recreational activities that improve the lives of children with complex medical needs.

Registration includes an official race shirt for early entrants and refreshments at the finish. The run/walk format keeps the pace range wide, so bring whoever wants to come along. If you plan to race the 3.1 miles, warm up thoroughly before a 9 a.m. start rather than using the first mile as your warm-up, which is the most common way to lose time in a 5K.
