About

The Schoolcraft Firecracker 5 Miler is part of Schoolcraft’s Fourth of July celebrations on July 4, 2027, with a 5-mile (8 km) run and a 5K (3.1 miles) walk, both starting at 8:00 a.m. Known as the Firecracker Five, it is a major fundraiser for the Schoolcraft Athletic Boosters, who support student-athletes and coaches.

Awards go to overall winners, masters and top finishers in each age group, though there are no awards for the walk. Timing is provided by Mac's Sports Timing using ChronoTrack technology, with live results during the event. The race builds community engagement while raising money for local athletic programs.
