Saratoga Education Foundation 5K Fun Run

Saratoga Education Foundation 5K Fun Run takes place in Saratoga, California, on November 1, 2026. The 5K (3.1 miles) starts at 9 a.m., and a Kids Dash of roughly a quarter mile follows at 10:15 a.m., which gives younger participants their own event and their own finish line after the main race has cleared.

The gap between the two starts is generous, so you can run the 5K, recover, and still be on the sidelines for the Dash. As fun runs go, the 3.1-mile distance is short enough that almost anyone can cover it with a run/walk approach, and quick enough that experienced runners can treat it as a hard effort inside a normal training week without disrupting anything. Warm up before the gun and you will get far more out of the first mile.
