About

The Saginaw Run Michigan Cheap takes place in Saginaw, Michigan, in mid-May, along the Saginaw Valley Rail Trail. The half marathon (13.1 miles), 10K, 5K and 5K walk all start at 8:00 a.m. The event combines competitive electronic chip timing with a lively running community, at an affordable price.

It is designed for runners who want good value and a motivating atmosphere. Everyone who registers in advance receives a shirt, and shirts can be bought on race day while supplies last, and all finishers receive a medal. Rail trails are flat and straight, which suits even pacing, but they can feel long, so break the half marathon into segments in your head.
