About

Running Against ALS takes place at Three Creeks Metro Park in Groveport, Ohio, on June 13, 2027, offering a 15K (9.3 miles) and a 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk, both starting at 8:30 a.m. Participants can pick the distance that suits their fitness, whether they are beginners or seasoned athletes.

The event originally supported Officer Steve Asch, a dedicated Columbus police officer, and now continues in his memory by helping others diagnosed with ALS. It raises awareness and funds, with every dollar going to ALS United Ohio, which provides support groups, equipment loans and comprehensive assistance free of charge, while advancing research and advocating for families affected by ALS across Ohio.
