Run To the Rhythm 5 K & Fun Run is a community 5K (3.1 miles) on the Wylie East High School campus in Wylie, starting at 8:30 a.m. on July 31, 2027. It supports the school's music programs.

The event features live music, on-course support and a variety of award categories. Proceeds go to the Wylie East band to fund equipment, travel, scholarships and program needs. The 5K offers a marked course suited to competitive runners, with professional timing and age-group categories, while the Fun Run is a non-competitive, family-friendly option open to all ages.
