About

Run the Runway - Weyers Cave takes place at Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport in Weyers Cave on September 12, 2027, offering a chip-timed 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles) at 2:30 p.m. and a rare chance to run on an airport runway. A Kids Fun Run (0.6 miles / 1 km) starts at 2 p.m.

The flat, paved course suits all fitness levels and is stroller- and wheelchair-friendly. Proceeds benefit the aviation exhibit at the Explore More Discovery Museum, enriching children's educational experiences in that field and supporting the museum's mission of sparking young minds through hands-on learning.
