About

Free Clinic 5K is run in Harrisonburg, Virginia on October 24, 2026, with a single 5K starting at 9:00 a.m. as a fundraiser for the local free clinic.

Fundraiser 5Ks are the backbone of American road racing: short, inexpensive, and open to anyone willing to cover 3.1 miles at any speed. If you have been running for a few weeks, you are ready. If you have been training for something longer, race this one honestly and use the result to check your pacing math — a 5K time is a reliable input for estimating half marathon and marathon paces. Either way, jog for 10 minutes and run a few strides before the start so the opening mile does not catch you cold.
