About

Run and Ride at Kings Dominion takes place in Doswell, Virginia, over a weekend in late May, and sends runners on a scenic course through the amusement park, past its roller coasters and rides. The half marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 8:00 a.m. and the quarter marathon (6.55 miles) at 8:30 a.m., while the 5K (9:45 a.m.) and the 1-mile fun run (10:30 a.m.) take place on the second day.

Participants can earn a medal and exclusive items. Free parking and a park admission ticket valid for 30 days after the event are included, and discounted spectator passes can be added at registration. It blends fitness with a theme park atmosphere, so friends and family who prefer rides can come along on the same day.
