The Run Like The Wind Running Festival takes place on April 25, 2027, near Ellensburg at the Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility, with a 10K (6.2 miles) at 9:30 a.m., a 5K (3.1 miles) at 10 a.m. and a Kids Dash of about a quarter mile (0.4 km) at 9:15 a.m.

The scenic courses wind among the wind turbines, with views of Mount Rainier, the Columbia River and the plains of eastern Washington. Participants can take a guided tour of the wind farm and enjoy craft food and beer at the finish.

Registration includes a choice of beanie or mug, a personalized bib and a finisher medal. There is also an eco-friendly option to have a tree planted instead of receiving swag, with a certificate and information about the tree.
