Run for The Hills - Niantic, CT

Run for the Hills takes place in the Oswegatchie Hills Nature Preserve in East Lyme, Connecticut, following a 5K (3.1-mile) trail through the preserve's scenic, wooded natural landscape. Proceeds from the race go toward maintaining the site, which stays open to hikers year-round outside of race day. Once the running is done, the celebration continues at the Niantic Public House, where the awards ceremony recognizes the top finishers in each age group over food and drinks. It's a fitting way to close out a morning spent supporting one of the region's most scenic protected spaces.
