About
Norwich Winterfest 5K is run on December 5, 2026 in Norwich, Connecticut, with one distance, a 5K starting at 10:00 AM from Kelly Middle School on a scenic course. It raises money for Reliance Health, a nonprofit mental health center in eastern Connecticut. A free Fit Kids Fun Run is on the program, a virtual option is available for anyone who cannot be there, and every participant receives a long-sleeve shirt and a medal. Festive challenges such as Sleigh the Ks and the 12Ks of Christmas add themed rewards.
Families are the obvious fit here, with a free kids' race alongside the main event. For runners, a 10:00 AM winter start is generous: breakfast, an unhurried drive, and fifteen minutes of jogging with a few strides before the gun is all the routine a 5K needs.
