The Rotary Lake 5k Trail Walk/Run & Kids Fun Run in Barnesville is a 5K (3.1 miles) trail event through the woods and around a lake, on paved and natural surfaces, held on March 27, 2027. The 5K walk starts at 9:15 a.m. and the 5K run at 9:30 a.m., alongside a kids fun run.

After the race, participants can enjoy refreshments such as hot dogs, pizza and cookies. Handmade natural trophies are awarded in several categories for runners and walkers. Trail shoes are optional but may be a better choice in wet conditions. The first 100 registrants can get a hoodie or a long-sleeve shirt for a small fee, while supplies last.
