About

Rock N' Run 4 Kids is held on May 8, 2027, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The children's 400 m fun run opens the morning at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 8K (5 mi) at 9:00 a.m. and the 5K (3.1 mi) at 9:05 a.m. No elevation gain is listed.

The 8K is an under-rated distance: long enough that going out too hard costs you dearly, short enough to be run close to 5K effort once you know your pace. Five minutes separate the two starts, so if you are racing the 8K expect the 5K field to come past your slower runners late on — keep to your own rhythm rather than chasing them.
