About

The River City Rat Race is a 10K and 5K run/walk through the parks and riverfront of downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana, benefiting the local YMCA. Both races start at 2 p.m. on October 18, 2026.

The event features a scenic course and is designed to be family-friendly. Because of changes to the course layout, participants are advised to register specifically for the race they plan to do. Race swag, including T-shirts, is handed out on a first-come, first-served basis, and sizes are not guaranteed. Registration and packet pickup are available before race day at designated locations in downtown Fort Wayne.
