About

The Rio Frio 5k on Ice is a 5K fun run held on January 23, 2027, in Alamosa, on the frozen Rio Grande in Colorado's San Luis Valley, with views of the San Juan and Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The race starts at 10:00 a.m.

If ice conditions are unsafe, an alternative route on nearby trails keeps the winter racing experience intact while still offering a structured and challenging outdoor course.
