About

The Reflection Run takes place in Washougal, Washington, in mid-May, as an annual tribute to the military and to those who gave their lives for freedom. Participants run or walk along the Columbia River on courses lined with posters of heroes. The half marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 8:45 a.m., and the 10K and 5K at 9:00.

The event supports Northwest Battle Buddies and other organizations dedicated to service members. Veterans and active-duty military can take part free by contacting the organizers for a registration code. After the race, participants gather for a meal and drinks to share memories with veterans and service members. A river course is usually flat, but the Columbia Gorge region can be windy, so be ready for gusts.
