The Run for the Planet 5K (Race for the Planet) is a 5K (3.1-mile) race hosted by Babcock Ranch in Punta Gorda, Florida. It starts and finishes at the William & Mary Ann Smith Sports Complex; the 2026 race was the 3rd annual edition.
Two options cover the same distance: a timed 5K run and an untimed 5K walk. The start is at 7:30 a.m., with walkers lining up at the back of the field. Participants receive a T-shirt and a finisher medal.
