About

The Pine Island Calusa Trail 5K Run and Walk is a family- and pet-friendly 5K in Bokeelia, Florida, on January 30, 2027, starting at 8 a.m. It is organized in partnership with the Florida Museum's Randell Research Center and includes part of the Calusa Heritage Trail.

Participants follow compacted gravel paths and climb the steps of the scenic Randell mound, with the rest of the course on quiet neighborhood streets. Medals and tech shirts are handed out, with refreshments and awards after the race. Proceeds benefit the Kiwanis Club of Greater Pine Island and the Calusa Heritage Trail's children's programs. Race-day registration is mobile only, and entry fees are non-refundable donations if the event is canceled.
