About

The Quatina M. Wolaver Poker Run in Fayetteville is a one-of-a-kind one-hour challenge on September 26, 2027, starting at 2:00 p.m., held to support ovarian cancer awareness and research. The aim is to complete as many half-mile laps as possible in one hour on a gravel course closed to traffic.

Each lap completed earns a playing card, and completing five laps (2.5 miles) qualifies you for the unique poker part of the competition. With winners decided by their hands rather than their finish times, the event mixes physical effort with luck. All proceeds go to the research and awareness work of the Quatina M. Wolaver Foundation of Hope.
