The Pufferbelly 5K in Fort Wayne is a run/walk/stroll on the Pufferbelly Trail, held on July 17, 2027, with a 10K (6.2 miles) at 8 a.m., a 1-mile Kids' Fun Run at 8:10 a.m. and a 5K (3.1 miles) at 8:30 a.m.

Proceeds go toward developing local trails, including new sections of the Pufferbelly Trail that will become part of the Poka-Bache Connector, linking several state parks and communities across northeast Indiana. The project aims to improve regional connectivity, encourage cultural growth and contribute to the United Trails initiative, benefiting residents and visitors alike by fostering an active, vibrant community.
