Prairie Burn 100

The Prairie Burn 100 brings cyclists and runners together in Grinnell, Iowa, on June 5, 2027, for a day of gravel, grit and camaraderie. Three new routes on gravel roads and rugged Midwestern country lanes offer 25-, 50- and 100-mile (40.2, 80.5 and 160.9 km) bike rides, while runners and walkers can take on a 5K (3.1-mile) fun run; a 3K (1.9-mile) fun run is also on the schedule.

The 100-mile challenge features chip timing, cash prizes and a Dash for Cash Strava segment open to all categories. Whether you are racing all out or riding at a relaxed pace, Prairie Burn is an inclusive experience. Off the course, Central Park comes alive with food trucks, yoga, a farmers market, live music and a beer garden, making the event as much a festival as a competition. Participants also receive a free T-shirt, with more merchandise available.
