Pokhara International Marathon

The Pokhara International Marathon is Nepal's largest international road race, offering a marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K on 13 February 2027. It has been held every year since 2002 in the picturesque city of Pokhara, bringing together elite runners, emerging talent and community participants under the theme "Sport for Peace and Health".

The course runs through the heart of Pokhara, with panoramic views of the Annapurna range, peaceful lakes and the spiritual sites that give the region its natural charm. Cultural performances, community activities and enthusiastic support from locals along the route create a festive atmosphere.

Organised by the Ex-Sportsman Forum Nepal, the marathon is part of a mission to promote sporting culture, strengthen unity and raise Nepal's profile on the international sporting stage. Backed by the authorities, local sponsors such as Sujal Dairy and the Nepali diaspora, it has become a national celebration.
