The Oak Tree Half Marathon & 5K Run/Walk in Geneseo is the area's premier distance race, featuring a half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km) at 8:00 a.m. and a 5K run/walk at 8:20 a.m. on September 5, 2027.

The 13.1-mile course passes through Geneseo's National Historic Landmark District and the scenic Genesee Valley, on a mix of 40% paved roads and 60% dirt roads, with most of the route closed to traffic. Expect live music along the way, inspiring flyovers by historic aircraft and handmade wooden medals to mark your achievement. Every athlete receives a gender-specific A4 technical shirt.

The Oak Tree 5K is a fast course through Geneseo's business district and historic neighborhoods, ending with a stadium finish on the Geneseo Central School track.
