The Newnham Trail run and Canicross takes place on the exclusive private Newnham estate in Plympton, just outside Plymouth, on 27 August 2027, with two trail distances: the Newnham 8 Miler (12.9 km), starting at 6am, and the Newnham 4 Miler (6.4 km), starting at 6.15am.
Athletes can take on these demanding trails solo or enjoy the thrill of canicross, running alongside their canine companions, over either distance. It is a chance to test their endurance on land that is usually closed to the public.
