NCA 5k

NCA 5k takes place in Columbia Township, Pennsylvania, on October 31, 2026. A single distance is on the schedule: a 5K run or walk, 3.1 miles, starting at 9:00 a.m. The event is put on by the New Covenant Academy Booster Club.

The 5K is the friendliest race distance for newcomers. Three or four weeks of running three times a week is enough to get around it, and walking part of the way is built into the format. Runners with more mileage behind them can treat it as a hard tempo effort rather than an all-out race, then jog a couple of miles afterward to make the trip worthwhile. A 9:00 a.m. start leaves time for breakfast, a warm-up jog and a few strides, which matter more over 3.1 miles than they would over any longer distance.
