National Chocolate Day: Run for Chocolates 5K/10K/13.1 DENVER/AURORA

National Chocolate Day: Run for Chocolates 5K/10K/13.1 DENVER/AURORA takes place in Centennial, in the Denver suburbs, on September 11, 2027. Four distances start at 7:30 a.m.: the half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km), the 10K, the 5K and a 1-mile (1.6 km) family loop, all open to runners and walkers. Each participant gets a swag bag with a T-shirt, a finisher's medal and a digital training pack; the timing chip is optional, and the event connects registrants with local running clubs.

With no pressure on the clock, the event works well for a comeback race or a group outing. For a beginner, the 5K is a realistic goal after six weeks of regular training, mixing running and walking if needed. Anyone choosing the half marathon, on the other hand, should have some long runs in the bank first, as the distance stays demanding whatever the vibe.
