About

NAMI Rockland 5K Run/Walk for Wellness is held in Congers, New York, in Rockland County, on November 1, 2026, with one event: a 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk starting at 10 a.m. The morning raises awareness and money for local mental health programs, and both runners and walkers are invited to a day centered on community and mental wellness.

NAMI Rockland is part of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, which works to improve the lives of people affected by mental health conditions through education and advocacy. The run/walk format means the field spreads across a wide range of paces, so you can race the 3.1 miles hard or walk them with a group. Four to six weeks of consistent running is plenty of preparation for a strong 5K.
