About

The Myles for a Mission 5K in Salisbury is a 5K (3.1-mile) run/walk on June 12, 2027, starting at 8:00 a.m. Held in memory of Myles Davis Pope, it raises awareness and funds for the prevention of child drownings.

The event highlights drowning as one of the leading causes of death among young children, especially boys, and supports projects offering survival swimming lessons and first aid training. Proceeds go to the Judah Brown Project. Alongside the 5K there is a fun run, with awards for the top runners and gift cards to be won. Participants receive a race T-shirt, an awards ceremony follows the race, and timing is provided by Salisbury Rowan Runners.
