About
The Muddy River Marathon takes place in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, in early May, on a course with views of lakes and ponds. Three formats are available: a half marathon (13.1 miles), a relay and the full marathon (26.2 miles). After the race, Cape Girardeau has several places worth visiting, including the Missouri Wall of Fame, a walk along the Mississippi River, the Civil War-era Fort D Historic Site and, about an hour away, wine tasting at a vineyard estate. Spring weather in southeast Missouri can be warm and humid, so plan your hydration.
