The Montane Winter Spine Challenger is part of the Spine Race series, a non-stop winter mountain ultra that follows the Pennine Way, starting from Edale and held from 9 to 12 January 2027. The route is renowned for its tough and varied terrain, crossing the Peak District, the Yorkshire Dales, Northumberland National Park and the Cheviots, finishing near the Scottish border.
