Monster Mash Run

Monster Mash Run is held in Houston, Texas, on October 31, 2026. The 10K, 6.2 miles, and the 5K, 3.1 miles, start together at 7:30 a.m., and a Kids and Family Fun Run of about six-tenths of a mile follows at 9:30 a.m. Runners come in costume, the event is part of the Houston Holiday Series, and a celebration follows once the finishers are in.

Open to all levels, the two timed distances give you a genuine choice. Take the 5K if you want a sharp, short effort or a first race; take the 10K if your weekly mileage is already steady and you want a result that says more about your endurance. If you plan on running in costume, test it on an easy run first, because seams, masks and anything that traps heat feel very different six miles in than they do at the start line.
