About

The Midnight Run 5K/10K for Special Olympics is organized by the Leawood Police Department in Leawood, Kansas, to support Special Olympics Kansas. Both the 5K and the 10K (6.2 miles) start at 11:59 p.m. on July 24, 2027.

The fast, well-marked course through the streets of Leawood is ideal for athletes chasing a quick time. Every 5K and 10K finisher receives a custom medal. The 10K is for runners only and has a strict 1 hour 15 minute time limit because of road closure constraints, so participants should choose their distance carefully to finish within the cutoff.
