The Heroes for Hospice 5K Run/Walk takes place in Overland Park on June 5, 2027, with the 5K (3.1 miles) starting at 7:30 a.m. Billed as Kansas City's premier 5K supporting palliative and hospice care, it benefits Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care and Midland Care Hospice.
The event welcomes runners, walkers and families with strollers or wagons, and the course loops around the Lions Gate golf course. Awards go to the top male and female runners and masters participants, and every registered participant receives a free race T-shirt.
