MegaBite Events New Years Hangover 5k & 1 Mile K9 Walk

MegaBite Events New Years Hangover 5k & 1 Mile K9 Walk is held in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, on January 1, 2027. Three formats start together at 11:00 a.m.: a 6 mile run (9.7 km), a 3 mile run (4.8 km) and a 1 Mile K9 Walk (1.6 km) for handlers and their dogs. Registration includes a hooded sweatshirt for entries received before the stated deadline, a finisher medal, and food for participants and their pets. Proceeds go to Camp Quality NJ, a nonprofit running programs for children with cancer and their families.

Having a longer run, a shorter run and a dog walk on the same start line means a whole household can enter without anyone being out of their depth. The 6 mile is the one that rewards preparation, so come in with a weekly long run of at least that distance; the 3 mile suits a hard, honest effort with no training block behind it. The K9 walk is the relaxed end of the program, and there is food waiting for the dogs as well as their owners.
