The McDonald Forest 50K (31 miles) is a classic trail race in Corvallis, held in Oregon State University's beautiful McDonald Forest on May 1, 2027, starting at 8 a.m. Smooth, well-maintained singletrack winds between towering trees and vibrant spring wildflowers.

Look out for dogwoods in full bloom, calypso orchids underfoot and sweeping views of the Cascades, the Coast Range and the Soap Creek Valley. Runners finish on a downhill trail carpeted with pine needles, one of the most enjoyable around, and compete for cash prizes. All proceeds go to local causes through Corvallis Area Trailrunners, a nonprofit that supports youth cross-country teams, Corvallis Mountain Rescue and the OSU research forest.
