Mattoni Running Festival České Budějovice

The Mattoni Running Festival České Budějovice takes place on 29 May 2027 in the medieval historic centre of České Budějovice, in South Bohemia, Czech Republic. The start is on Přemysl Otakar II Square, the second-largest square in the country, lined with arcades and Baroque houses.

The half marathon (21.1 km, with just 10 m of elevation gain), the main event of the evening, starts in the late afternoon and is partly run as dusk falls. The programme also includes a 5 km, a 1.609 km Family Mile, a Bambini Run for children, a four-leg half marathon relay and a 2Run format that lets runners cover 21 km in two parts. The flat, certified course holds the race records, set by Kenyans Wilfried Kimitei (1:00:54) and Yvonne Jelaga (1:08:19). Live music stages line the route, and the race is part of the RunCzech circuit.
