Mattoni Karlovy Vary Running Festival

The Mattoni Karlovy Vary Running Festival takes place in the spa town of Karlovy Vary, Czechia, on 15 May 2027, with a half marathon (21.1 km), a 10 km and shorter family races on the programme. The event brings together around 3,800 runners across several formats: a family race, a children's race, a 10 km and a half marathon that can be run individually or as a four-person relay, split into three 5 km legs and a final leg of 6.095 km. A 1.609 km walk-run open to the whole family completes the line-up. The race is certified by World Athletics.

The 10 km follows the Teplá river through the heart of the town, while the half marathon follows the Ohře before running through the lanes of the historic centre. The route passes close to the hotels, colonnades and mineral springs, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, that have made this spa town famous, giving runners a remarkable architectural backdrop throughout.
